Project Overview: The client commissioned Edge Group Pty Ltd (Edge) to conduct indoor air monitoring of the property located in greater Sydney, NSW (the Site). The purpose of the indoor air quality monitoring was to: • Assess the potential exposure to workers at the site from volatile contaminants of concern focussing on tetrachloroethylene (PCE), trichloroethylene (TCE) and dichloroethylene (1,2-DCE) that may be originating from underlying groundwater contamination; and • Comparison of these results to nominated health standards as guides. The latest round of air quality monitoring was undertaken on 12 February 2015 and involved collecting air quality samples at 8 locations at the Site. These locations were selected to target potential exposures to vapours migrating from the underlying groundwater contamination at the Site. Project Outcomes: This investigation has not identified any health exposure risks to workers at the Site relating to chlorinated hydrocarbon exposure in the areas assessed.
